Cheryl Cohen Greene is a sexual surrogate, on who's life the movie The Sessions was based. This is a MUST see if you haven't already. She says in her new book that when people have difficulty understand the difference between prostitution and surrogacy work (since they both do involve having sex) she explains that "seeing a prostitute is like going to a restaurant. Seeing a surrogate is like going to culinary school."

Though I don't use the term "surrogate" to refer to myself and my work, since there is training involved and I respect that, I certainly see surrogacy as often a component in my sessions. Also, I always hope that beyond just providing a great experience, that my clients will have learned something new about themselves each time.

What do you'll think?

I was unaware of the term, but from my limited reading it's a fair question to ask. If an escort aims simply to meet the sexual urges of his client then it doesn't apply but if he is seeking to broaden his client's experience and help him to understand himself better then it does apply. That said, I don't know how important the distinction it for the client, although it might well be for the escort to understand what he is doing. If I meet an escort I might well want sexual fulfillment, advice, understanding and help to understand myself better. Whether the man I am with is an escort or a sexual surrogate would not seem to matter.

That said, there are escorts I've read of here who provide sex and others who reach out to you and provide an all-encompassing experience.

I don't know, but I intend to find out......

Mmmmm hmmmm! Just a week and a half away! ;)

Well, well, well...all I have to say is: Glennnn & Lance sitting on a tree....:D

Here's the trailer for The Sessions. Again, I highly recommend it, a beautiful and touching story and Helen Hunt is INCREDIBLE in it.

Seen it, loved it!

Seems to me you are struggling with defining your brand range. That often happens with individuals who are good at so many things. I would suggest that if you are looking to offer surrogacy elements within your product offering, then get very precise about what it is and not - the limits and necessary disclosures. In the meantime, I say you continue doing what you do so well: meet your clients where they are and gently help them grow.
