Yes, the good old days! Plus, you might add Cole Davis to the list as well. Also, Rex Brandt with whom I almost hooked up, but it never happened.

 

Still.... Reece was the gold standard and the person from who I certainly learned quite a bit! The master of all masters!

To better answer your question, I personally have not found anyone in NYC who has any expertise in flogging recently. Perhaps others might know of someone. I was lucky to have met and observed Master Avery at the NYBC a couple of years ago and did learn a lot from him simply by observing him in action. Fortunately I did get to speak with him as well and he gave me some pointers.

 

Still, regarding depth of knowledge and equipment Reece Rothmeier was the absolute best. Plus, unlike some others, he was a totally great and down to earth guy. I certainly wish him well in what ever he is doing these days!

Mr. Mooney is indeed correct about Kirk. He had completely skipped my mind as I always associate him with Florida and Fort Lauderdake as he was Mr. Ramrod FTL in 2013. However, he does indeed visit NYC on a regular basis. I did meet him in a non-hire situation when he was in the City, and at the time actually had no idea that he escorted. At any rate, he did indeed give me some helpful advice. So, while I have not personally experienced his flogging technique, I have seen him in action and he is indeed quite knowledgeable and talented in that regard.
