Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen a ghost?

We lived in a house in the San Fernando Valley in the 60s that had a Cold Spot in the second floor hallway. It was always 15-20 degrees colder than the rest of the house. Our cleaning lady was greatly disturbed by it, and would avoid contacting it. The house was new and situated at the top of a hill at the foot of the Santa Susana Mountains. I was speaking with a lady who's Family had lived in the area for many years. She asked where I lived. When I explained the location of our house she said that a notorious bandit had been executed on our hill back in the 1850s. I could never verify the story, but I always wondered as I passed down the hall and felt the sudden chill of the cold spot.

I saw a ghost when I was 14. We lived in a haunted house for 4 years but we didn't move until the ghost, or whatever it was, smashed one of my school pictures by hurtling across the 2nd floor hallway.

I sure hope it hasn't followed you! http://www.boytoy.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif

A HuffPost/YouGov poll shows that 45 percent of Americans believe in ghosts, or that the spirits of dead people can come back in certain places and situations.

Nearly one-in-five U.S. adults (18%) say they’ve seen or been in the presence of a ghost, according to a 2009 Pew Research Center survey. An even greater share – 29% – say they have felt in touch with someone who has already died.

Just saying...... almond joys got nuts mounds don't.

Our ability to experience paranormal activities has been widely studied. By changing electromagnetic waves you can induce feelings of a presence, cold spots and even have the subject hear footsteps. The frontal lobes of our brains seem specifically designed for us to have 'spiritual' experiences such as near death experience. While it might be all in our heads, the fact that something picked my picture off the wall and threw it with such force across a 3 foot hallway that it left a dent on the wall has certainly influenced my belief that there is more to the world than what is seen by our eyes.
