Merle Haggard, Country Music Legend, Dies at 79

As a "country" bear I would be remiss if I didn't note the death of this legend. Spent lots of my youth in trucks listening to his music on tape decks.

At the tender age of 17, I learned to drink in a Northwoods bar with a Pabst Blue Ribbon in one hand, and dimes in the other hand ready to feed the jukebox for Merle, Waylan, Willie, Patsy, and all the other TRUE country music greats.

Ahhh, the memories are so wonderful and vivid!
