I don't mind at all. As some of our Forum bro-s and sis-es on here may have noticed, I might be 'occasionally' a little 'verbose' myself;). I can hardly complain of others with the same penchant. Plus it was an interesting story. I-and I don't think I'm going out on a limb to say many other Forumites-am very glad you are back. I (we) missed you.

*channeling my best Sally Field imitation* They like me! They really like me!

That explanation bore some similarities in style to some things you've posted. Hence the ironic ending.

I was surprised to read that The Miracle Worker originated as a an episode of the superb TV anthology Playhouse 90 in 1957. Arthur Penn directed ( Bonnie & Clyde, Little Big Man) and would go on to direct the 1962 film with Patty Duke, and Anne Bancroft. In the Teleplay, Annie Sullivan was played by Teresa Wright (the Little Foxes, The Best Years of Our Lives), and Helen Keller was played by Patty McCormick ( The Bad Seed).
