...I do absolutely DETEST southern food.

I'm sorry to hear you say that. While I'm not in Atlanta, I am visiting home in Texas for a bit. We had a 2-for-1 coupon to Luby's Cafeteria, so we went for dinner. I had been craving chicken-fried steak. It was delicious-chicken-fried steak, roasted potatoes, and green beans!!! You can't really get that kind of food back in my (temporary) home of the PNW.

It is in Wisconsin. Required by law, actually.

It wasn't THAT long ago that margarine was BANNED from being served in Wisconsin. Seriously!

Julia Child would not even speak the word margarine, always disdainfully calling it "the other spread."

"Of course you could use the other spread but I never dooo."

I'll put butter and cheese on all of you and lick it off

I'm presuming you're a man of your word. ;)

Please advise as to your preferred types and I'll visit the market. And Merkts spreadable might be a tasty variant.

Lolol.

Many years ago, WI officials asked the public to submit suggestions for alternative license plate mottos for the long-standing "America's Dairyland." The "Eat Cheese or Die" was my fav. My second-favorite was "Come and Freeze in the Land of Cheese."

In the end, they rejected all the suggestions and stuck with the (comparatively boring) "America's Dairyland."
