You really don't need a map.

The Gay Village is basically one street, St. Catherine, from St. Hubert to Papineau (roughly).

Just get on St. Catherine at St. Hubert and start walking East. All of the strip clubs will be on your left. Campus first, then Stock, then Adonis, and after you pass the Papineau Metro station on your left, you turn left to go to Massoineuve and you will hit Taboo.

Walk it once, and you will know it by heart.

I don't have an online link to a map of the village, but it is very easy. Basically just walk down Ste Catherine St. east of Rue Berri. You will be able to figure it out very easily. It it is a nice day, most of the restaurants and bars open the doors and windows and everything is wide open. Even at night, most clubs do not charge cover, so you can wander in and out of places until you find what you are looking for. And generally in The Village, you can find what you are looking for.

Try the online version of Fugues magazine at http://www.fugues.ca. Bounce around that site, it is filled with all kinds of Montreal info. The online version has some info in English. The printed magazine, available everywhere in the Village, is 100% in French. But you can generally figure it out.

Bar listings are at: http://fugues.vortex.qc.ca/main.cfm?p=100&section_id=2&categorie_sous_id=1&l=fr

or this link: http://fugues.vortex.qc.ca/main.cfm?p=100&section_id=2&region_id=1&l=fr

Have fun!

For a map of the Gay Village, go to the Campus website: http://www.campusmtl.com

and hit the bar that says "metro".

Best advice given to me when I first went was to start at the corner of Ste. Hubert and Ste. Catherine and walk in the direction of the traffic, (it's a one way street). As Marc said, all the clubs are on the left side of Ste. Catherine's.

On the first visit, it's easy to walk past Campus and Adonis. Keep your eyes open for the signs.

Depending on how soon your trip is you may want to check out the official Montreal Tourism site. http://www.tourisme-montreal.org their website has a special gay section. I requested a tourist guide and info on the Village from them and they sent me a very nice package of stuff in the mail including the official gay village tourist map and the official city tourist guide which I found to be extremely useful. I believe there is a tourist info office on Ste Catherine in the village too which probably has all that stuff.

Okay one more question if the Fugues is in french, can you easily figure out escort listing? Is there another way to find escorts while there? I am staying at the Gouvenor and just found out they don't have high speed internet in the rooms! I know someone mentioned agencies any suggestions I am leaving tomorrow I am so excited I have spoken to Ronielle hopefully we will hook up he looks hot in the pics. Also I will probably hook up with Bigguy, he can probably show me the ropes also :-) but thanks for any info.

Thanks,

Spida

Yes, it is easy. Also, agencies are fine there. Hot Boys agency (Belle Hommes) has an ad in Fugues.

They have business class rooms which are about 20 more per night which do have high speed internet and also have walk in showers. THey are worth it IMO... the only "drawback" or advantage depending on what you want is that you have to use your key card in the elevator to get to those floors. Adds some security, but means you have to meet your "dates" in the lobby.
