but I can't resist. Rolling Stone, and usually

I consider them to be a fairly good mag; just did

a suck up article on Tom Cruise, not sure why.

Isn't there truth that Cruise was a male

hustler in NYC in is earlier days and now is

trying everything to be the role hetero? Not

sure why Rolling Stone had to lead the charge

Because he's a popular actor and they want to share in his popularity.

If there is any truth in it you sure won't find out here, since there is nothing anyone can post here that will constitute real proof one way or the other. It's not like anyone here is going to identify himself and provide a verifiable eyewitness account of Cruise hustling men, right? So why bother asking?

Rocky is just asking a question about a rumor that has been around

for a very long time. As deej probably knows, Cruise's struggling actors days and possible sex partners from those days have been discussed endlessly on Data Lounge. If Cruise was a hustler in a bar like Rounds in NY, it would be difficult to prove and the proof better be very good, pending a certain lawsuit.

 

Hey Rocky, do not let woodlawn get you down. He is a bully to respond to your posting in the way he did. His need to bring attention to himself on a boring Saturday is sort of sweet, in an off the wall way.

Just a few observations. Since I seriously doubt that I will ever find myself in his bed it really is none of my buisness who Tom prefers male female or both. But I have some theories that may support his being straight. There is a porn star who goes by the name Tommy Cruise. (named because of his physical similarities to the famous Star of Risky Buisness)It is possible that in conversation someone may have said, I remember seeing Tommy Cruise (The Porn Star) Hustling in A bar. This story then became Tom Cruise was a hooker. Ever play the game telephone? A rumor can take on a life of it's own. Also we have to remember Tom was quite young when his career took off. If he did hook it couldn't have been for long. I have met a few desperate straight guys who have done things for money and still condider themselves hetero.

 

On the other side of the coin, It is also very possible he is gay. If he is I think he has every reason to remain closeted. As an actor his career would definately suffer greatly by coming out. For all the advances in the perception of gay people, he would not get the leading man roles he gets now. Sorry that is reality, no matter how progressive people are on the coasts there is a huge section of the country that still is in the dark ages.

I guess gossip is human nature. And in the case of many stars it could be wishful thinking to hope our favorite celebrity studs could be in our bed. In the case of Tom I get the impression he is a really good guy and his sexuality is such a small part of makes up a person. I just wish him well. Also if he is gay and would like to meet a super nice guy who can be really discrete he can e-mail me. LOL

You mean to say that his ability to earn $20,000,000 per picture would be kaput? Guess he would have to get by on the hundred million or so that he already has! Life's a bitch!

Well it might affect his ability to get romantic rolls where he relys on a female audience lusting after his bod, but it probably wouldn't affect his strictly action movies like his latest one, (forget the name - and it's so simple too - just one word) and his string of "Mission Impossible" flics.

 

And just think of all the gay parts he could play and the huge gay audience he would attract. The mind boggles.

Nonsense. I'm asking a legitimate question. It's one that has been asked on this site before but never, so far as I know, answered. I can understand why someone might be interested in the private sexual behavior of a friend, neighbor, coworker or someone else with whom he interacts. But why care about the private life of someone you don't know and never will know?

 

Suppose Cruise is gay. Then what? If you liked his performance in 'Magnolia,' would finding out he is gay mean you no longer like it? Or if you think 'Mission Impossible' is a stupid movie (which I do) would finding out he is gay mean that you would go to see it anyway? What's the significance of this information?

For starters, honey, he already has a gay audience and there's nothing stopping him from playing gay now. Look at Colin Farell's role in "A Home at the end of the World". (Wonderful movie, by the way.) I doubt Cruise would actually accept a role like that precisely because he IS so protective of his hetero image.

 

He's also getting to an age where the "hot young stud" role will get sparse for him anyway, so I can understand him wanting to hold what he's got. He does have 2 kids to put through college, after all, and by the time they're of age it'll probably take every cent he's got. ;-)

No need to worry about 42-year-old Thomas Mapother, aka Tom Cruise, and money. He'll put his adopted children through college with no sweat. It will be pocket change for him. As for his being gay or straight, I couldn't care less. I'm not a Cruise fan.

and don't I know it..... His underwear dance sequences in Risk Business are to die for. It has also always amazed me that the scene in Top Gun, where he is shaving (or whatever) in the communal bathroom and he is shot from behind in his tight white jockeys, has never made it into any internet porn sites (that I have been able to find)
