I just cancelled a meeting with a NYC escort that I was really eager to see when he texted me a couple hours before our meeting and told me that when I get to his place, he would be handing me an empty envelope when I walked in and I should immediately insert the $300 as soon as I got there so that he didn't have to worry about it. I've never had a guy tell me to do that in advance. In fact, to avoid any uneasiness, in my original contact with him, I specifically told him my Rentmen profile name and told him that he could see that i had sponsored several escorts with one month memberships. The whole point of this was so he could know i wasn't a flake. Was i right to cancel? This guy has a killer body--hairy and muscular like i want, but his response made me think that either he's too new in this business or he didn't read my very clear text or that he was running a scam. Has anyone else had such a request even before they got to the appointment?

Yankee, there was an entire thread about this subject here in the Deli, back on 02/10/16. The thread was titled Last Minute Cash Upfront Requests.

I'm sorry I can't link it but I'm on my cell.

You were right in canceling your meeting.

It seems that some escorts think that us clients are so desperate that we will follow any demand. It should be the opposite. We are the paying client. They are in the business of extending a service. In business, they need to understand that every transacation is not perfect. How often does an escort lose money? My guess - once per month.

I wish all of my clients in my business paid up front. That will never happen.

The good escorts will run their business like a business and not expect the clients to make every part of their business perfect.

Best wishes

this is truth

I expect money up front rules from a hustler, not a seasoned pro

as I've said many times before, tell your intended, well ahead of time, that you will pay at the end of the meeting, that you do not want to talk money at all during the meet, and ask if this will be OK with him.....

communication is key!

He has no reviews and I see he only joined Rentmen a couple months ago and I think Itslian is his primary language so maybe he is new to the U.S. And new to our typical client expectations ?

Always go with your feelings and have the self-confidence to do so. Getting ready for a escort meet can be exciting. If something is a buzz-kill then it can ruin the entire experience. I think it's great that you cancelled.
