some of the miseducation and laziness by not doing simple google searches is astounding. PEP is not Truvada. It's Atripla, and it'll wreck you from the inside-out. Please, no one take serious advice on your health from here.

OK, I was wrong on what the actual med given(I was mistakenly under the impression that PreP was just a PEP drug taken continually, I haven't taken either myself), but a doctor - who will presumably know what med to prescribe - is still in order here if the person is thinking they did something that could cause them to get infected. Are you suggesting because of the side effects he shouldn't bother?
