told me that Keys identifies as straight, has a girlfriend who knows about and supportive

Thanks to honcho I did some additional research on Mr. Keys and I think you will find it quite interesting as I have always enjoyed his work and especially in Kinkman's "Men on Edge" series. What honcho mentions is indeed the case, but has he changed teams since?!?! I don't think that the answer will surprise you! Unless "he's one helluva convincing actor" that is!

If I ever find myself in San Fran I think that a tour of the Armory as mentioned in the last YouTube video would be quite "educational".

 

Also, I would guess that a guy or two who periodically post here might have worked at the Armory. It would be interesting if they would care to comment regarding the venue or Kink in general.

WG, in case you were unaware of it -- and knowing that you're a Renaissance fellow, as interested in opera as BDSM -- there was a 30-year period (prior to its purchase by Kink.com) when the Armory was mostly unused and in a state of disrepair, except that several interior-of-the-spaceship scenes for Star Wars were filmed there and the San Francisco Opera used the inner courtyard for set construction and rehearsals up until the mid-90s. (Worlds collide!)

 

Interestingly, when I first found the kink.com website I was intrigued by the imposing Bastille-like appearances of the armory. As such it certainly looked like the perfect site to film BDSM. In addition, being a frustrated architect, I also did a bit of reading on the structure. It seems that it was indeed used for sporting events as well. In any event, since opera is often considered to be a form of BDSM, the connection seems quite appropriate.

Down in the basement in the old prison area, there are indentations on the floor where someone spent a good deal of time kneeling back in the day.
