David, Masseurfinder and M4M are well-known sites that many of us use all the time. All you have to do is take 30 minutes and go thru the posts from the last week or two here in The Spa to get a good idea of what's going on in the massage business. No, this isn't a prostitution ring. Verification videos are a silly (to me) effort by masseurs to prove that the person who walks thru your door is the person in the ad.

Yes, the ad copy is generic, and you have to take all of it with a grain of salt. The "testimonials" and "reviews" must be taken with a VERY LARGE BAG OF SALT, and are essentially worthless.

You will find that you win some, and that you lose some. It's always BUYER BEWARE.

Masseurfinder and M4M are reliable sites in that you should not be "creeped out," and you can be assured that the people who advertise here are not thugs or criminals.

Note that I'm talking about masseurs.

I don't know anything about escorts. Frankly, many people on Rentboy are not people I'd like to get to know. But that's an uninformed opinion. The masseurs are generally good guys.

Curious if anyone knows anything about this site: http://masseurfinder.nyc/

The guys all look hot, but it's hard to feel a little creeped out by the "verification videos" and generic ad copy. Feels...prostitution ring-y. But I'd love to be told otherwise!

Looks like the Murray Hill gang has graduated to having their own website. This group looks like they're mostly the Eastern European types brought over here by a shadowy group that specialize in such guys. From past discussion here, they tend to look like their pictures, but usually have limited English and massage skills, and are not infrequently straight. Touching and especially interaction beyond that can be limited.
