Good way to get a time-out. The Only person that is allowed to disclose HIV information is that person.

Tested Yes; Required to disclose No.

but keep in mind that with all of this talk about legalizing escorting, it's only a matter of time before escorts will be required to disclose and or get tested regularly. why not start now, let folks know where you stand and avoid the game playing and problems?

obligated, no. but when you're selling yourself, it just makes you a decent human to be up front about that kind of thing.

wish all guys working out there were as honest and good as greg. it's admirable.

So yeah, that's a bit disturbing, especially considering he also appears to be entering the porn world. And because he lists "Anything goes" on his RM profile.

As Adam Smith pointed out, any escort who puts anything like that including "sometimes safe" in his profile is probably HIV positive or soon will be. He probably also has other microbes to share with you. No offense to any present, but escorts are often not the most honest people out there. I'm sure that most of the escorts who contribute to this forum are exceptions, of course. I always assume that any escort I hire might be HIV positive. If they indicate in any way that they're open to unprotected sex, I will usually feel fairly certain that the escort is HIV positive. I can hardly think of anything nuttier than having unsafe sex with an escort. The very fact that the escort is willing to have unprotected sex with a client indicates he probably has HIV, and God knows what else.

I personally didn't find it too offensive to re-post information the escort has put up on the internet that he's HIV positive. I did find it redundant, since the "Anything goes" in the profile is a code word that any sane person would understand as meaning "HIV positive," but not offensive. Information you give your doctor at an office visit is protected by health privacy laws, though the law does come with a number of exceptions, such as a duty to disclose information which may endanger others (for example, a doctor might have to notify a patient's spouse if he had information that the patient was putting the spouse at risk). Information that individuals put up on the internet is certainly not protected by such privacy laws.

I personally don't mind hiring escorts who are HIV positive. Given the large number I've hired, I know that there probably has been a fairly good number of them. I avoid doing things which put me at risk, so I don't have to worry. I do avoid hiring escorts who put "Anything goes" or "sometimes safe" on their profiles--not so much for the HIV, but all the other STD's (and because such a profile indicates the escort is seriously lacking in the good judgment department). In summary, my recommendations to you and all are: (1) don't obsess over the escort's HIV status and/or honesty thereof, and (2) don't hire escorts who have unsafe sex with their clients.

"Think I might have discovered an HIV+ escort not disclosing his status on his listing"

That's like saying you discovered a needle in a stack of needles. Yes, there are escorts who do not disclose their status in their profile. That's nothing new to anyone here so I cannot understand your need for starting the thread. Did you expect kudos for being so righteous? Did you have a personal vendetta against the escort that you originally linked to but then removed because of the blow back you got?

"I have positive friends...."

Does your amateur sleuthing include looking up their profiles on such sites as adam4adam and outing them for not disclosing their status in their profile?

"At no point did I post the escort's actual name..."

But you made sure you left a road map on how to find his actual name and I have no doubt that your intent was to disclose his name.

What happened to: treat all partners as hiv+ and practice safe sex? This applies to escorts or any other partner. People lie....for whatever reason. Whether he discloses or not....whether his ad says BB or anything goes....whether he's on Truvada or not....there is no cure for HIV, there's much better management of the disease, but there is no cure....so why not practice safe sex like always?

As usual, Assume ALL your casual sex partners are positive. The pendulum has really swung over to the side promoting/exploiting/encouraging unsafe sex.

It's all very scary to me.

I've edited out the link to the escort ad in question out of respect for the escort and the HIV+ members of this forum.

Again, my sincere apologies. But hopefully this can be a productive discussion about what level of disclosure should be expected in this sort of situation. Because I think it's a valuable subject to discuss.

Wow. You actually posted his link? What a horrible invasion of privacy. Please you don't seem to understand the first word of respect.
