The thing that chuffs most is there was probably no non-performance penalty.

 

Time-Warner Cable failed for quite a while during last year's Superb Owl. I'll bet they didn't suffer any financial penalty for utter #FAIL either.

 

You and I still pay for it whether it works or not. Shouldn't we NOT pay when it doesn't work?

 

I'm a little bothered that multi-million dollars are paid when the coverage fails. NBC had a problem with the scoring computers a few years ago during the Olympics and people were outraged. These days we've been trained to accept "sucks" as the normal course of events.

I'm in Bangkok so we get an international feed. Didn't lose it here. But local cable company had problems when it got into the extra innings. Several 15 second breakups. Cable and rain don't mix in Bangkok.

What I can't believe is that MLB actually suspended the game while they waited for Fox to get its act together.

 

I mean somebody sent a messenger out to the home plate umpire and the ump suspended play. Joe Torre and some other clown scurried out and stood there right in front of God & everybody yakking with umpires about how long to suspend (!!!!) the freaking World Series.

 

Jesus on a freaking pogo stick! It had to be the Commish himself that made the call.
