The fact that it "wore off" seems to indicate that it wasn't an ongoing source of value.

I see what you mean, but the impact lasted several years, maybe five, longer for some folks. For corporate training in non-technical material, I take that as a decent lifespan. As for me, I still use it from time to time.

I took it years ago, at work, I think I was an INTJ, like Tyro. Work wanted everyone to take it, and I was a bit put off by the (admittedly minimal) research I did that said it wasn't that reliable - that you could take the test on different days & get different results based on your mood that day. One co-worker had exactly the same score as me (including the +/- that goes along with some of the scoring), when I mentioned it he said "Good, you got a perfect score". :-)

Why do so many gay men seem to know their types? I see them frequently listed on the hook-up apps. Is it possibly because being out of the mainstream we are more likely to have taken this test/been in therapy to try to discover what we are like? I wonder if straight men and women on Tindr (by the way whatever happened to the 'e' in these apps-Grindr, Tindr, Growlr) list their types as frequently.

I took the authorized version at a staff retreat a long time ago and was pegged as an INTJ. Online versions I've taken more recently, including this one, variously come up with INFJ (twice, including now) or INTP. But I suspect the original result is more accurate.

Out of a dozen people at that staff retreat, two had the same Meyers-Briggs personality type. I heard tell that almost all of the partners at the law firm where I worked subsequently were INTJs. In the first case, that explained why we got on each other's nerves. (Besides which the Executive Director was a jackass.) In the second case, that explained why reaching agreement on anything was so brutal, as INTJs are notoriously skeptical and independent in their thinking. It's also supposedly a common result for those in the legal field.

INTP here. Although I tend to prefer the JENESAISQUOI personality type. :D Love personality tests and recommend you take more than one instrument - for example: Myers Briggs plus Enneagram plus DISC and StregthsFinder. Also I recommend you take them every other year bc like it happens with our muscles, our mind, our balls :p, with age, our personality also stretches with time.

I just took the test. And then I erased it. I was something that started with 'E' but I wasn't really 'strong' in anything. It said I was 'slightly' more 'extroverted' than 'introverted'. Then I had one other thing that I was slightly more than, and two characteristics I was 'moderate'. The problem with this test and others like it is that it depends solely on how you see yourself. If what you perceive is not actually what's there, then the test will reflect a hypothetical and not an actual you.

This made me wonder-why when we see a hot porn guy or escort, a definite plus for many of us are 'low hangers'? But when used for older men, the same phenomenon is usually termed 'saggy balls, ' and it's a derogatory statement about a guy being old. Kind of a double standard, eh wot?

Gman...always so insightful.

I think there is a need for introspection and feedback. To me, personality tests help me see how I view myself and/or how such instruments categorize me (introspection). I always take the results with a grain of salt. However, I take the results even more seriously when I get 360 degree feedback or direct, unsolicited constructive criticism that aligns with my personality type findings. For example, I can be way too direct in times of stress...both personality tests and feedback have proven that to me. Hence, I am now very zen when sh*t happens. Both the introspective and feedback mechanisms have helped become more aware of who is the actual ME.

Now, for the real MEATY question....I find low hangers very sexy regardless of who they are attached to. I have no bias on age as long as I can comfortably (or uncomfortably) fit those low hangers in my mouth ;)
