Background info-about three years ago-by chance -probably from a Facebook post-I learned about some British 'Quiz' shows. These are different from our (USA) usual quiz shows in that many of them have comedians or other entertainment figures as the guests. And right answers and points are beside the 'point'. What's more important are the guests making funny observations.

The show I heard about 1st was QI which is hosted by Stephen Fry.

There is another show called 8 Out Of 10 Cats-the name comes from the old cat commercial about 8/10 cats choosing a certain cat food brand. It's a show with survey topics like Family Feud.

There is a spinoff of this show call 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown which combines the Cats show with the word/math quiz show Countdown.

On this show there is a 'featured' comedian who isn't a contestant but helps out.

This guy's a bisexual comedian named Joe Lycett. He's really hilarious.

If someone wrote a letter in the US which included the phrase: "if you do not cancel the fine I will kill a child" even in obvious jest, there would be a SWAT team at his door and eventually, he would be maced, subdued, handcuffed, and then waffled on the car ride back to station,. Eyewitness News would be at his door and at the police station, as would crowds of people demanding he be put to death. In Britain, just a good laugh.

True - in fact more likely (whether armed or not) the person would be dead inside their home, on the way to the police station or during the booking process.
