Maybe it's just me, but it seems like San Diego is being targeted by a lot of scammers and hustlers using stolen photos. To help others who have similar suspicions, let me point out a few that I find suspect:

Jericho Lions, (619) 345-7836, has an ad up on Rentboy with pictures that are all over the internet. His photos don't particular look like the same person, and each selfie is taken with a different camera or smartphone. Suspicious. The text of his ad seems to be mostly lifted from an ad for Blue Bailey in San Francisco. www.rentboy.com/Listing.aspx?lid=1008372

"Robby," (774) 540-3521, has an ad up on Rentboy and also Masseurfinder. His photos also appear in lots of places when you do a google image search. The text of his masseurfinder ad seems to be lifted from Amir in OC, including the part where he describes himself as Middle Eastern, in direct conflict with his Rentboy ad, which says "caucasian, latino" and his photos which look blond and all-american or eastern european. www.rentboy.com/Listing.aspx?lid=952303 and http://www.masseurfinder.com/members/massageyou.shtml

"Lucky Leo," (619) 399-2803, is advertising on Rentboy and Masseurfinder. He was discussed here recently, and is using old photos of a retired porn star or fitness model, Franco Corelli. The text of his masseur finder ad is lifted from "Rugby Muscle" in New York. It includes the statement "Further pics including face pics are available upon request," but, in my experience, he won't send any. www.rentboy.com/Listing.aspx?lid=996078 and http://www.masseurfinder.com/members/luckyleo.shtml

I was hoping to learn that my suspicions were unfounded, or at least to learn more about the scam these guys seem to be attempting, and I texted Jericho Lions using a throw-away phone number. Interestingly, a few minutes later I received a call from the number advertised by "Robby." I didn't answer that call, but that makes it clear that Jericho Lions and Robby are either the same person, or working as a team.

I continued the dialog with Jericho, without acknowledging that I was aware that he had tried to call me from "Robby's" phone. As the dialog continued, and he seemed eager to meet, I was feeling mischievous and so I told him that I had also seen Robby on rentboy, and I asked him if he would be ok with a 3-way. He was open to that, so I texted Robby and asked if he was available to "join us." Robbie replied that he was unavailable. So, perhaps they are the same person, and he realized that I was trying to set up a three way with both of his fake identities.

As for Lucky Leo, it seems like his M.O. is similar, but there are just enough differences that I believe that he's not in cahoots with the other two.

What to look for in a fake Jason Crystal ad:

- always in his 20's

- always fully versatile

- always cut

- either Caucasian/Latino or Caucasian/Asian

- always safe

- always non-smoker

- always bi-sexual

- always never to drugs

- always lists all 7 talents

- always lists all 19 primary interests

- either $150/$150 or $140/160

- no cock pix included

- good looking guys with no tattoos

- usually all the pix included in the add are not even of the same guy

- usually the add will state he's just moved to your area from another state & he will have a phone number from yet a different state.

The real Jason Crystal has one daddys review listed under NYC. It's from 5 yrs ago.

Right now I can't think of anything else.

Jason Crystal is a former porn actor that started escorting about 6 or 7 years ago using his own pictures and porn name. He quickly acquired a bad reputation for not providing the services advertised but taking the money anyway. The bad reputation grew he at first began name changes but still used his on pictures. Once he wore at his welcome with his own pictures, he began using some else's pictures, but continue to keep the same ad text and phone number. Once that didn't work anymore, he began changing the pictures and phone numbers, but there's always a similar pattern to the ad text (even if it isn't exact) and the stats are usually similar. He uses a set of pictures until people catch on and then he moves on to another set. It's the same guy that had you posing the question: "Am I Terrible Person" after you sent he to the wrong hotel room. Same guy...different phone numbers and pictures....but same guy.

In addition, to what Boomer wrote above, I set out some of the similarities here with links to old Unzipped articles:

There's a pattern to his ads...it's easy to recognize (at least in my opinion).

Oh, and in the current Jericho and Robby ads, every picture in that ad is of a different person, so if the ad were legit...who would show up. There have been several posters who reported answering these fake ads and the answer is always "Jason Crystal".

I have no plans to hire any of these guys. And I have no doubts these guys are fake. But I don't know that there is any proof that it's actually Jason Crystal. Also I've seen the claims on here that certain ads are his with nothing that looks similar to the classic ad except for the fee.

Perhaps "Jason Crystal" has become a generic term for "fake ad" much like "Kleenex" has become for "facial tissue" and "Thermos" has become for "vacuum bottle."

In the management jargon lately lampooned in another thread, it has become a "best practice"! :p
