Fewer leading men in Hollywood today are more gorgeous than Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer. But they find themselves in "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." which I found to be a pretty preposterous movie. And neither of them showed any real skin. But those faces are to die for.

Henry Cavill ... Sweet Jeezuz ...

Let me drown in your laughter, let me die in your arms.

The Tudors is on Netflix Streaming if you want to see Henry, shall we say, in the flesh. He is one spectacular man.

PS to QTR ... yeah, David McCallum ... I remember feeling something I didn't yet understand way back in the day.

I'm sorry, there's just one Ilya Kuryakin, and he was played by David McCallum, my first TV crush.

I had a crush on him too! He was a cutie back in the day:

At 82, he's aged quite well:

But Armie Hammer is not your mother's Ilya Kuryakin!

At 6'5" he pretty well towers over all his co-stars. Henry Cavill, as Napoleon Solo is tall, 6'1" but looks short here next to Mr. Hammer! I did like Hammer's Russian accent (as opposed to Cavill's Madmen-like bland American accent!)

...and I found the movie quite a bit of fun, with a bit of alpha male head-butting humor between the leads, and in that Guy Ritchie "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" type of action thriller with some nods (like the use of split screens, which I still remember from the TV show!) to the original series!

This film had little actual relation to the original but overall is a good summer popcorn movie with some "Gorgeous Men" :) making me glad I saw it! ;) It did include a set up to do a (number of?) sequel(s) if the box office proves to be good!

I too had a crush on McCallum as the original Ilya. Several years ago I saw him on Broadway playing an Austrian monarch in a revival of "Amadeus." Still a handsome man.

TH1 - Thank you for the shirtless pic of David McCallum as Ilya Kuryakin. That role also made black turtlenecks iconic.

These days he does the part of NCIS medical examiner Doctor Donald "Ducky" Mallard proud.
