It is the Wave House by California Architect Harry Gesner. He was self taught, and this house was built in 1957 as Malibu House #3 . Years later Gesner met the architect of the Sydney Opera House, who told Gesner that the Wave House had been an inspiration to him.

thanks, B2B!!.....that was quick!.....wow, what a great forum we have here......it also looks like the TWA Terminal at JFK was inspired by this, possibly, since the Wave House predates the TWA Terminal by just a few years.....

The Wave House is very impressive and Harry's other (co-) creation, his son Zen, is pretty impressive looking, too! :)
