I tried to book a massage and facial with him once. We talked and I liked him, but then I found out he was actually in San Diego not LA as advertised. So be sure to clarify his location up front.

Based on our call, I would still try him. But for spa-type services I care more about knowledge and experience than looks.

Sorry, I don't hire masseurs that are older than I am.

Ok...honestly, I'm not trying to start anything, and I've probably misinterpreted a bit an issue that I'm somewhat sensitive about. My question is why would you post the above comment? Why not just not comment at all. To me your comment implies a somewhat ageist attitude and that's fine if you don't care to go to older masseurs, but the question was for information. The reply seems more about yourself than offering an opinion or a helpful referral. I reacted to this the same way I do when someone says in a blog or a comment on Facebook or even in here something like "wow he looks good for 40" as if 40 is ancient which it may be in our physically compartmentalized gay world. To me the fellow about whom info was requested, has a beautiful body, gorgeous silver hair and a handsome face, and I would gladly go to him for a massage, and my tastes tend to run toward the more youthful. If I've misjudged you I apologize in advance. But the comment rubbed me the wrong way for reasons I've expressed above.

Well, dutchmuch's response could be interpreted as, "Since I don't hire masseurs who are that old, sorry, I have no info for you."

Of course, the question then becomes, why comment at all? Because it's the internet.

I myself agree with you, luvsrubs. I've seen way too many threads here where someone asks for information about a particular masseur or escort, and then people chime in, "Oh, he's not my type at all!" or, "Cute but the tattoos don't do it for me," or something similar. And I always think to myself, the OP didn't ask if the guy was your type, or if you found him attractive! The question was, 'does anyone have any info?' And so it becomes about the commenters and their needs, the OP and his request being secondary. And in a way, it's almost insulting to the OP, because the implication is that you disagree with their choices and therefore imply that their taste is questionable. I once thought of a metaphor to try and clarify it, because I too have the same peeve about the comments on this forum. It's like you see a shirt in a store, one that you want to buy for yourself, but you don't know if the brand makes quality clothing. So you ask, does anyone know if this shirt has good quality cotton/construction ?" And then the only answer you get is someone saying, "I don't like how it looks, I would never wear that."

But to call it out, you'll end up with people saying something like, 'well, it's my opinion and I'm entitled to to share it.'

Sorry, devilsoap, for hijacking your thread. I myself have no info on him, but if you google image search his pics (esp. the one where he's using a Clarisonic brush on a man's forehead) you'll find his other more mainstream business and larger, clearer photos on his website and Facebook page. He appears to be in his 40s or possibly even early 50s, but with prematurely white hair.

Thanks, boys. Dutchmuch, I agree with everyone else. Yes, I suppose I should have been clearer in my original post, "Does anyone have any experience with Rob? If so, please share." I would think the latter part was implied; but even with a re-worded statement, a simple "no" would suffice. I wasn't asking for qualifiers, which are still rude. All this to say, "Keep it classy."

I can say that he is an amazing therapist and one sexy man, regardless of his age. He has incredible genes that along with his diet and hard work have gifted him with a killer body, skin, and complexion. He does travel, so I would recommend planning ahead and making sure he is available. Don't pass up on the pamper opportunity. I have seldom had a better all around experience in a spa. And admittedly, I adore manly silver haired foxes!

Totally concur, +1. 1st class service ,I'd say he's timeless. Hopefully I'll be able to book again when he returns in early September. The pampering was great.
