That statement has always been in a4 a. IDK about he other websites.

Adam4Adam has had that warning since at least 2000, which is when I started using that site. The third paragraph of Rentboy's Terms and Conditions contains similar language, as does section 1.1.2 (second paragraph) of M4RN's T's and C's.

 

All that said, A4A is different than Rentboy and M4RN. A4A is primarily a free hook-up site. Non-pro ads are free of charge. I would go out on a limb and say there is a greater likelihood of encountering bad actors when hooking up with a non-escort than when hiring an escort.
