after several meetings, and feeling I know Derek enough to chat bluntly with him, I asked him at our last meeting what was up with this "no show" rep he seems to have.....with me, he always seems to be positive/upbeat and only hinted that there are two (or is it three?) sides to every story.....moral: be friendly, courteous, respectful, easy-going and things will probably work out..... I would contact them now to make sure they are in town. Stick with someone who has been well reviewed. Having them come directly to your room or meeting them in public place first depends on your level of comfort. E-mail or phone first, establish the connection and go from there. Remember, they're people and businessmen too, respect them and their time and they will do likewise. Having said this, all escorts are not created equal so make sure to do your research (particularly on this site), find someone that meets your needs and take the plunge! Good luck!

For me, I'd get in touch now. Better chance at a slot that fits your schedule, and you'll have time to explore other options if he doesn't work out/you get hinky based on initial conversation. Whether you meet in lobby or give him room number is up to the two of you. I usually meet the guy in the lobby just in case he's not who he said. Some escorts will also ask you to come down to meet them. I've never had any guy say he didn't want to meet in the lobby. If one did, I'd be a little suspicious. But, it's whichever one makes you more comfortable. One awkward result from meeting in lobby -- my guy had just arrived and when the elevator came out popped the guy I'd seen the night before with a client. I would contact them now and set up appointments. (That is what I did, and it worked out well.) Whether the escort has access to the elevator to your room depends on the hotel. Sometimes a key card is necessary for the elevator. In NYNY it was not. You can always arrange to meet in a bar in the lobby (there will be several bars, so you may want to check out the layout once you get there.) RELAX--all the guys under discussion in this thread are consummate professionals who will make you feel comfortable--it is a large part of what they do. If you meet in a bar downstairs first, you can buy him a drink and chat for a bit--these guys are both presentable and good company. No one else will either notice or care. To echo what Despardo said about hotels. I'm not sure any hotel in Vegas needs a room key for the elevator (although I have not been in every Vegas hotel). However, at the Venetian, to access the elevator area, I do believe you have to flash your room key to guard on duty. I don't think this is a 24 hour thing, but at late night hours you do. If you are staying there you may have to come down and get the escort, if you're having late night trysts.

MGM has the same owner as NYNY, but I really couldn't say. I suspect not, but who knows.

MGM does not require a key card for elevator access. However, many of the escorts have spare key cards to most hotels, so it won't be much of a problem. Vegas isn't a great escort town, as you might have heard......again and again! If you really want to try something different, try Share, a nightclub with male strippers. Open Thursday-Saturday, Friday is "Stripper Circus" and it's not an exaggeration that you'll see some of the hottest guys there. Lap dances and some of the guys might be amenable to after hours escorting but maybe not since they rake in the tipping bucks.
