I hadn't seen most of this post until today. I had the pleasure of being with CD very early in his career, both with just the two of us and then with another very hot guy. I had a great time, and I think Chris did too, based on his behavior, and the conversations we had. I stopped seeing him after he decided to advertise his willingness to bb. As I have always said, "To each his own" but I am sad to see some of these comments and have no interest in reading his book. I prefer to remember the very good times we had early in his career, and I wish him nothing but the best in the future.

If I ever made any mention of how "disgusting" people were it was because they were to me at that time. Forgive me but sometimes Im not attracted to the client and some of them are disgusting. I never set out to be malicious or hateful and I never wanted to bite the hand that feeds me but some of the guys I saw were less than desireable. I wasn't about to sit there and go on about how they were all attractive and great people fr the inside out when they were really 400 lbs (or more), were rude, didn't under stand basic hygiene and smelt. What world do you live in? The asshole who stiffed me what belligerent, rude and obnoxiously drunk. He shorted me on 4 lap dances and I stole his ipad. NOT laptop and I gave it back in the end. Forgive me but I was jet lagged and cranky. How would you react if someone did the same thing to you?

 

Christopher-my comment was on the tone of your book which seemed to lean heavily towards how unpleasant you find your chosen profession. I have no doubt you have to deal with many unattractive and sometimes disgusting clients, and I don't suggest for a minute that you should sugar coat your experiences, as I think your job must be a difficult one for the most part. My impression from the book was that escorting does not seem to bring out the best in you, and such a book would not exactly inspire anyone to hire you-just an observation based on my reaction. I was expecting more balance and hopefully some humour which I think must be necessary in your job.

Also, to answer your last question-how would I react if someone shorted me? As someone who also charges by the hour and is freelance, on the rare occasion that has happened to me that someone has not paid me, or bounced check-I write it off as regretfully par for the course and I don't deal with them again. I do not consider stealing their ipad justified, especially given the comparable value of 4 lap dances to an ipad.

Chris...Your response to my post speaks for itself and I don't feel compelled to add to the hole you continue to dig for yourself. I am, however, curious about one thing. As I read the book I noted that you only mentioned one of your former boyfriends by name, and that person was another escort, Jason Michaels. As I said in my post, I was struck by how nasty those comments seemed to be and wondered what value that served? More importantly, when I reached out to JM, who I had previously hired, I asked if he was aware of the comments you had made about him and his response was telling: "Several people have told me some of the things that Christopher has said and all I have to say is that I hope he is doing well and living the life that makes him happy." Maybe life is different here on the east coast but I really don't see all the negativity that most of you guys here are claiming you see in Mr. Daniels. I watched the entire interview and for me it would encourage me to hire him - I LIKED the persona that he presented - he seemed pretty genuine and unaffected with the whole thing. As far as telling tales outside of school - he mentioned a few experiences that the viewing audience would probably eat up and enjoy but really there was no breach of confidence there that I can see. As far as him saying that not all of his clients were attractive - well, duh, that doesn't seem too damning or nasty - it just seems honest.

 

I haven't read the book so perhaps that is more revealing and could account for what some people have written here. On the other hand, I don't see anything in CD's posts within this thread that seems contrary to what I observed in the interview. Please enlighten me - what am I just too blind to see here?

He was actually an escort who responded to a call when a porn company found themselves short a porn actor and needed someone in a pinch.

 

I have met Chris before professionally and socially. He's a little bit of a mess, very defensive about barebacking and into a lot of drugs. He's one of those who blames everyone else for his issues and doesn't take any personal responsibility for his life. His personality is a total turn off and he had so few redeeming qualities that I stopped doing dinners with him even though he was paying for them.

I used to find him really attractive - UNTIL I read that book. Good Lord. It's almost as if he wrote it to dissuade people from ever hiring again.

Sometimes the truth is ugly T and I guess my story made me a little ugly and I'm OK with that. I didn't make the book to get more clients or to be more attractive I wrote it as cathartic experience for myself and i was always taught write from the heart and what you know and that's what I did. What was the last book you wrote? When was the last time you wrote anything about yourself where you let others see you as vulnerable ? Writing bitchy comments on Dreview doesn't count.

After watching and listening to the interview, I rate him as an off putting person with a huge ego.

 

I do not understand how he was so succesful in his chosen line of work.

 

If you combine the off putting personality (shown in the interview) together with the book he wrote (that shows ridicule and contempt for many of his clients) the guy is less than congenial.

I've noticed that Christopher lowered his rate too. He used to advertise for 300, but lately it's been 250. Wondering if its because his client base is falling. I've seen him on hookup sites too and he's clearly into PNP. That and the barebacking (not that I'm judging) might be why he's getting less clients lately.

First off, this is a forum for discussion about escorts. Which you are one of those, right? Therefore, it stands to reason that you might get discussed from time to time, right? Especially when you are being reviewed by clients on a website dedicated to reviews about escorts. Which you are one. So I just don't understand why you are so upset by that. Its just part of being in the limelight.

 

All that being said, I was simply speculating, which is why I used the word "wondering" about your client base dropping. You're right, I have no idea if it has or not, as I said, it was just discussion I was offering in contribution to the thread. And yes, I did notice your rates dropped because they did right? Chris, I read most of the posts on this thread with dismay, and sympathy for you in light of the snarky comments made here. (Most of the comments have been OK, but some quite snarky and rude.)

 

I met you in NYC several years ago and felt that you were not quite "into it" even then. I would think that being an escort has many challenges, and for many guys it would become very tiresome to be treated like a piece of meat (or ass) in session after session. IMHO, our session would have gone better if I had eased into it and gotten to know you better. (Just a thought.)

 

Taking a break from escorting might be a good idea, if you have or can get another job for a while.

 

p.s. I just viewed the video posted by Steven Draker. I thought the interviewer was tiresome but Chris was friendly, candid, and not too full of himself. Far from off-putting.
