I can understand dire circumstances. I mean even Jean Valjean stole a loaf of bread. But do you really think dire circumstances could be enough to excuse the message he sent you? That sounded to me like he was rubbing your nose in the fact that he scammed you.

I have lurked and read through postings here for a few months but wanted to jump in here and say that I have hired him here in San Diego and he is, indeed, better looking in person than what his pictures show. We shared just over an hour together. He was endearing, passionate and could hold solid conversation. I intend on hiring him again in the near future. My only drawback was having to pick him up from his house, but he offered (and I politely declined) to give me money for gas. He almost seemed too sweet to be from New York City. Glad you're working things out together.

The e mail he sent you makes it plain he is an asshole and not the good kind. He is arrogant and brazen and apparently cocky enough to get someone he robbed of hundreds of dollars to recommend others to him. I do not know him, but he could be as hot as Marlon Brando in his prime with a physique of a young Arnold and I would still turn and walk away.

His is a common flavor, if he is too you taste, find a different brand with the same flavor.

Oh hell no, I would not hire him. He has already revealed that he is a thief, and a particularily arrogant and cruel one at that. I hope he reads this thread, too. There are plenty of other (better, more sexy, honest) fish in the sea.

It would not be unreasonable to think he may have gotten wind of the initial post and realized that perhaps he should do some quick talking to try to salvage his future marks. Of course speculation on my part, but factor that into everything else. And bottom line, for me at least, is that what he wrote to you right after disappearing, as purple indicated, says everything you need to know anyway.
