Reviews certainly are significant to me, and deter me if they are negative and give logical or persuasive reasons. Of greater importance is that the escort has appeared in porn. I have reached the point where I prefer to hire guys who have this experience. Looks come third, because so many escorts are so good looking. Looks, to me, do not form a significant filter because I am impressed with the many very handsome men who escort. I might add that posting on this forum is becoming an increasingly significant factor in my plans. By that I mean that escorts who post here have attracted me (thanks, you escorts!!) and in fact I am considering throwing out long-held hiring factors just out of a desire actually to meet some of the true charmers in the 'scort world who do us clients the favor of posting here.

I've been doing this for a few years now, and of the top five guys I've been with - in terms of sexual prowess + the amount of sexual chemistry we have in the sack - two of the guys would qualify as "drop-dead gorgeous", while three would fall into the category of "nice, but average, looking" - though all five are well-reviewed. Having a lack of good reviews is one thing - especially if the guy is relatively new - but if someone has been escorting for 10 years and has zero reviews or mentions on the forums, that's a bit of a red flag. If someone has more than one bad review or multiple negative forum references, that's a deal breaker for me. Why chance it when there are so many other options readily available?

Would you be willing to reveal who your top five guys are? PM me if you're willing to share!

I'm more interested in what's between the ears than what's between the thighs... I also rate what's behind the pecs over the pecs.

Reviews are important to me as are the escort's advertising verbiage. Photos can be Photoshopped, but words tell the story. I even like to hire guys with negative reviews if they have responded well to the negative review. (Saving my $$$ now for a date with ....)

How about having 90+ toe-curling reviews, but the 'scort is scandal prone?

I am soooo curious about that one!!

I tend to look to see if there are any bad reviews for someone I'm interested in. I also tend NOT to read the reviews of guys with a ton of them (i.e., a certain guy in DC whose numerous reviews more or less read the same). A handful of good reviews is good enough for me but not the overall deciding factor.

Posted

Usually, looks and matching my basic search criteria (for me, no guys below a certain height or who identify themselves as straight or seem party prone) get me to stop and read an ad. But, the ad text may be the single most determinative factor for me. Don't need free verse or haiku, but if you can put together coherent sentences without typos or ALL CAPS, talk about something other than dick size, and are interesting or intriguing, you make the cut. (And, I'd be on the phone immediately to any dude who actually did write their ad in haiku .) Ads and, more to the point, forum comments come into play next. It's much easier to get the dark side from comments or from PMing commenters than it is in reviews. A bad comment will usually drop you from consideration. The one time I ignored that rule turned out to be my worst experience in bed ever, escort or not. If the boards and reviews are silent, I go with my gut, always to my pleasure so far.

Basic due diligence (Google image search, phone number search).

Again, gut.

OK, that was likely TMI.

some of the porn stars or porn models that I personally have found the most stunning, just utterly drop dead gorgeous, including ones that seem to also be total sexual animals if you just watch them jacking off or even fucking on screen, turn out to be duds when it comes to escorting. The easy explanation for this is that some of them are straight, but even some of the ones who are gay aren't particularly good at getting off their pedestals and playing the role of mere mortal with the type of normal human beings who hire. If you are primarily looking for somebody to worship or touch for an hour, their being on a pedestal can actually be a plus. If you're looking for more than that, it can be a problem.

This. My first experiences with porn dudes were all not good, ranging from disinterested to lazy to downright bat-shit crazy. As a rule, I don't go there. Made two exceptions -- one a guy based in my hometown on the recommendation of one of my fave escorts. The other, gut instinct. Both were awesome. Still, no porn performers remains my basic rule.

In the final instance, though, it's a leap of faith based on gut,

I probably get my initial attraction to an escort because of his looks. I use reviews more to see if the guy is established and hasn't been dishonest or flaky. As far as stellar vs. not-so-stellar reviews, it's the client writing the review who decides if the escort provided HIS idea of an excellent session. Some clients want an escort who excels in personality, companionship while other clients want a hot nasty fuck. I'm more of a personality-companionship guy, so if I hire a guy who arrives, throws me on to the bed and brutally fucks me for an hour.. I'm probably not going to be kind in a review. BUT, for the client who wants just what I described.. a 5-star, "recommended" review follows. It's really a matter hiring the right guy for the job.. not easy, I know.

The looks attracts me, but I do look for reviews. If the escort has a negative one, I do consider what was said and take it with a grain of salt, (after all the reviewer could just be butt hurt over some perceived slight) but I do not let just 1 negative review dissuade me, especially if the escort provides a rebuttal, and appears to be in some good standing.... and lets not forget, the advice of all these wonderful people on here :) :)

For me, it's the looks that get me to seek out reviews.

I'm very particular about the guys I'm attracted to. If they don't fit my physical tastes, I'm just not going to get excited enough.

After that it's reviews. Then I give him a call and talk a bit.

Then I get a vibe. If he didn't come across as particularly masculine, I'll pass. If the guy isn't masculine, I won't follow up.

So I'm probably only drawn to a very small fraction of guys that make themselves available. It's frustrating.

Once I do find a guy that I like, I'm very devoted and make him my go to guy. I had a guy like that in my old town. Totally hit the sweet spot for me. Had it all. In that case I saw him regularly.

But it takes me a bit to find a good guy.

Well said, Sir. It's nice to see that others pay keen attention to what they write in their advertisements. I view it as the first opportunity to gain some insight into the person. When I was actively looking I passed by so many attractive guys simply because their bios had such mediocre information and told me little about them.

Well that's good to know. I personally have 1 of those reviews, and yes it was a bunch of BS and a case of someone being butt-hurt, but I responded positively to it...and people have hired me and laughed at it and because they picked up that it was BS.

Fortunently, I have 3 good ones after it.

Some escorts have been known to sort of stack the deck by pushing clients to write reviews. That in itself isn’t necessarily a red flag, but if I see a bunch of stellar reviews but none of these reviewers submit a review of a subsequent meeting with that escort, then I figure maybe they didn’t hire the escort a second time and maybe their initial meeting wasn’t quite as toe-curling as they indicated; they only submitted the initial review at the request of the escort.

You're right with your first part of sentence, but the second part not quite. Yes, like when you go to the store (it's seems like nowadays EVERY STORE EMPLOYEE wants a review. I only talked to you for 30 seconds).

Now for the 2nd part of what you said, I've had clients review me and see me again...but never write another review. Why? It's not necessary. It's overkill, for me atleast. One is good enough.

That said, I've not figured out the secret to getting hundreds of reviews. I may never make it to even 50, let alone 100 (no H8 to anyone who does, but I'm not going to kill myself because I don't). For some reason, most of the clients I met have no interest in writing me a review, and I've hung from chandeliers, shower rods, did upside down handstands, backflips....and they have seen me regularly.

Maybe for me it's an age thing, older guys may subconsciously feel weird writing some perverted review of they're discreet Younger guy experience. Some people don't like to share, and some clients have stopped seeing me after asking for a review. I've learned to stop putting so much leverage on reviews because asking for them seems too thirsty and almost like I'm banging out for a review, which I'm not. I'm banging out for my fee and hopefully for the guy to see me again, not a review.

If that makes me less of an escort, so be it. But I'm not going to offer discounts or hold a gun to someone's head to make them write me a review.

And here I thought that Steven Kesslar was just a pretty face!

Nope. He's also a gorgeous body and a fabulous fuck. He's also got a pretty good brain inside that pretty head.

Actually, that is not correct. IMHO I do have a good brain inside my head, but nobody has honestly referred to the head of my cock as pretty. :D

I have always used sites like rentboy, men4rent, and rentmen for eye candy and as escort catalogues. If I find and escort whose ad contains text and photographs that interest me I look to see if he has reviews here. If he doesn’t have any it usually means he is off my search list. If he does have reviews and they are good that is only half of the equation for me. Equally as important as the review itself is the description the reviewer provides of himself. If, for example, the reviewer describes himself as a hot, drop dead gorgeous, 30 year old I completely discount the review. I never was a hot, drop dead gorgeous 30 year old and thus I’m certainly not a hot, drop dead gorgeous 74 year old now. I look for reviews written by guys similar to myself which gives me a much better idea of how the escort will react to me and frankly that’s all that interests me.

I can verify this is true.

Epigonos is actually a hot, drop dead gorgeous 76 year old. For some strange reason, he lies about his age.

Are you illustrating that you're dick-brained? I mean blood flow couldn't possibly be good for the brain cells ALL DAY LONG, and possibly, oversupply is a problem upon the appearance of an attractive nekked man.

Two of my best session were with guys who had amazing reviews but weren't what I thought of as my type. I'd passed by their ads many times, but the reviews finally brought me back to them, I said to myself "why not" and I was blown away. The reviews won.

I don't know about that. I've spent a lot of time looking at the head of your cock over the years and I think it's pretty hot.

Yeah, but that was when we were both fucked up on coke. It doesn't count. Check with Chris Eisenhower.

Sorry. New to this option.

I met a guy that has been escorting for over a decade. He has a real job and escorts on the side. And rarely advertises. I was lucky!!! He was better than the well reviewed guys I've met, and reviewed.

He had no reviews, anywhere, and said no when I offered to write one, if he wanted.

I hired him because his ad was exceptionally well written. And, he's hot!
