Still have the jar full of volcanic ash I swept off the hood of my 1975 Nova during cleanup week - my brother was stationed at Subic when Pinatubo blew, he said it made St Helens look like a breeze across a sandbox.

Slowly reclaiming is so appropriate. The last time I went there I couldn't believe how much dead wood was still there. It's a very slow process.
