Before any possible tsk, tsking, I posted what I did only because the MacKeeper page had come up for me. I don't know if I would have had to do more to actually download the app to my computer. The reason I posted what I did was because the week before I had somehow actually had somehow gotten MacKeeper onto my computer and it took a couple of days to get it off. I was still hot under the collar. So I wanted to at least warn people of the possibility. I do apologize if people would have to do more (I am really pretty computer illiterate).

I would agree that Southern men do have a charm about them that's very endearing. I have a colleague who is from the Carolinas and consider him a consummate gentleman.

I was surprised when I discovered how much prejudice some Norwegians and Swedes have toward each other.

 

Like anyone outside their respective clans could possibly tell them apart.

 

One of them cornered me once and made my tell him which I thought he was he was, Swede of Norwegian. Well, it's 50/50 I thought to myself and guessed right. Then I ventured it was obvious, him being so much taller, better looking, more manly & forthright in character, yada yada, than any of those other guys could possibly be. Made a friend for life and was treated to a 1/2 hour soliloquy on the nasty ways of his chosen scumbags. To this day I can't remember which group he was so proud of being in.

 

Tried the same trick on a Pakistani (as opposed to Indian) friend of mine once and it worked like a charm on him too.

True story: A friend of mine, from SC, was working in central Louisiana. While at a bar, he got into a passionate conversation with a local who called him a Yankee.

 

After someone found a map of the US of A, it was determined that his hometown was, in fact, slightly north of their present location. Then they resumed drinking as friends.
