Helen Mirren is just terrific as she is transformed from the young to the old Queen Elizabeth. Rapid changes of costumes and wigs, from country tweeds to coronation robes before your eyes is pretty impressive. Her interaction with all her Prime Ministers is poignant and also quite funny as she banters with all of them. A very enjoyable and satisfying show worth a full price ticket. Highly recommended if you can grab a seat to what I expect is a sold out show.

I liked it. Thin on plot but rich in emotion. Helen Mirren is of course wonderful and the eguerry is splendid. Margaret Thatcher, unfortunately, was cast as a bull dyke.
