Video Streaming on the iPad using iOS 8.1

Techno nerds, I need some advice. I've noticed that going from fab-to-tab, or app-to-app, while a video is streaming, or, yea-verily, turning the screen off, the video continues to play for several seconds. Since turning the screen off us essential to making things quiet rapidly, this is kind of disturbing.

 

Just now I was trying to listen to a video of Jessie Coulter being fucked (after a post about him) and I went away from that tab. The streaming continued for a good seven seconds after I left the tab.

 

Anyone else bothered by this? Anyone know of a solution to this?

In most video players you can tap the video to pause it.
