massage in puerto vallarta?

i'm heading to puerto vallarta in april. do you have any good recommendations for masseurs? i've seen ads for various spas (blue chairs, boana massage, and the other places listed on gay puerto vallarta guide), but if you have specific names, that would be really helpful. also, if there are any out-of-the-way or lower profile places, let me know that, too. i'd also like to hear from anyone with escort suggestions. thanks!

Since no one has yet responded, I thought I'd throw in my two cents:

 

If you go to one of the actual massage businesses (Blue Massage, etc) you are likely to get a therapeutic only massage but, depending on your connection with the masseur, you may be able to negotiate them coming to your hotel to give you a more erotic massage.

 

You will likely be approached by many "masseurs" (most of the escorts there pretend they are offering a massage even when massage isn't part of their service) all over the gayborhood. Sadly, many of these guys aren't particularly attractive but they generally are persistent. If you know you're not interested in hiring someone, it's best to be borderline rude to him. Make eye contact and engage in friendly conversation and some of them assume that you've already agreed to hire them.

 

If you log onto Adam4Adam, Backpage, or Craigslist, you will find some -- but not many -- guys. Some guys not listed as "pros" will also likely hit you up and solicit you as soon as you acknowledge their first message.

 

The only masseur I'd recommend that you avoid goes by the name Victor. He sells his massage in a highly sexual manner but ultimately provides a very light body rub with no apparent skill while he remains completely clothed, and he charges much more than the going rate in the area for massage (probably to make one believe that he's actually offering escort services and not just massage). You will definitely find him posting on A4A, CL, and Backpage. I'm not even sure that the photos he uses are of him.

 

If you want to hire an escort and don't want to negotiate online or in public, you can always go to one of the strip clubs, hire someone for a private show, and then negotiate there. I had one of my best encounters with an escort I met this way, an incredibly handsome and well built young man who was, at the time, "Mr. Anthropology." At about one-third the cost of a similar experience where I live, it was not only a bargain but he excelled in every way -- looks, personality, and sexual chemistry. Sadly he left PV so I haven't been able to hire him again.

 

My one caveat about hiring at the strip clubs or, for that matter, hiring in PV in general: A lot of these guys identify as straight. I know that doesn't bother some people, but I actually like my sexual encounters with escorts to have more of a "boyfriend experience" type of vibe, not just me getting off on being with a hot guy. For that reason I avoid hiring guys who don't identify as gay.
