I found a couple of old issues cheap.

One has Marc Singer, age 25, as Petruchio in tights and not much else.

The other has the following ads in the back:

OMEGA ONE OF CHICAGO. Quality escorts of personable character for those preferring the clean-cut look. Discretion assured (312).....

COMING to Florida? Don't be disappointed! Send for exclusive photo sampler of escorts available - $8. WING STUDIOS P.O. Box.... Discretion assured.

(Who could imagine hiring with only one itty-bitty little pic? I did that for a while, sometime with NO pics.)

Oh, but I liked After Dark, bringing a little bit a glamor (and a whole lotta butt) to my midwestern town when I was a teen.

Years ago I visited a friend in LA who had been gifted a bound set of every After Dark magazine. So much fun to look through. Lots so soft core arty nude shots of ballet dancers by, I think, Ken Duncan.

I used to subscribe to this magazine and had almost all of the issues. So much soft core porn in the disguise of an entertainment artsy magazine. Alas, I stored the issues in my basement and in one of those "hundred year" storms (which occur quite frequently now), my basement was flooded and the mags ruined.

I went to high school at performing arts school where some gay-friendly librarian subscribed to After Dark for us, and there it was on the shelves. Ah, the seventies!

It was my first "gay" magazine subscription back in the 1970s. I used to jerk off over those pics of hot semi-clad ballet dancers. Be still my heart....
