I assume different things about "ask me" depending on what site the ad is on. If it's a site like RentBoy I tend assume the escort is popular and can charge top end rates. I usually don't respond to those ads. If it's one of the anything-goes sites like craigslist or backpage then I don't really expect rates in the ad. If the ad catches my interest, I don't have any reservations asking. There are some good guys on CL or BP and their rates can be modest. But of course about 90% or the ads are scams or flakes.

I have a few questions that I would like to ask of escorts. First, when you post "ask me" rates, do you do so because you find that potential clients are asking for things outside what you feel is the "normal" or "customary" appointment? Do you do so because you might offer a discount for periods of time not available for posting on the site? Does it have to do with travel distances? Finally, would you consider posting a rate (even a "starting at" rate) if you concluded that a significant number of potential clients find "ask me" to be off-putting? Thanks.

I didn't mind the fact that I saw "Ask me" on some ads. In fact I kind of liked it. It gave me the opportunity to open up a dialogue and see if the person was responsive, polite, and conversive.

 

When I finally made up my mind to have my first experience, I emailed some of choices from my list who had "ask me" prices and some who did not. What impressed me more was if they actually responded and gave me the information I asked for.
