Australian Sperm Bank Seeking Donors

Just read that an Australian sperm bank is recruiting non-anonymous sperm donors in Calgary, Canada. What a deal! In return for providing specimens every two days, the lucky recruits get an all-expense paid two-week trip to Australia. The lucky guys have to be between 18 and 40 and pass a series of qualifying tests before they are accepted in the program.

 

The reason for this recruitment is that current supplies of frozen sperm will not be used in the future since they were made by anonymous donors and a new law will require that future donations be from donors who are identifiable. The reason for the change is to avoid "genetic bewilderment" for people conceived through the use of sperm donations, a problem with the use of anonymous donations. Such people will be able to contact their donor fathers supposedly if genetic issues concerning their health crop up in the future.

 

In any event, the dream trips are apparently valued at $6000 to $7000 a pop. Oh, to be 39 again!!!!:-( :-( :-(
