With all due respect, "Oh God, puleeze" comparing seeing David Lee Roth in concert to seeing Paul McCartney in concert is truly mind-boggling. David had what? 1 hit song after VanHalen kicked him out of the band and even that was a remake of Just A Gigolo. McCartney was a founding member of the univerally voted number 1 group in rock and roll and 1/2 of the greatest rock and roll songwriting team in history!

 

And after the Beatles broke up, he subsequently formed the band Wings, who had many hits and gold albums and consistently sold out every venue they ever played. And his career as a solo act after that continues to be highly successful.

 

A two time entrant to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and most likely a third time entrant in the future.

 

I saw him live on stage when he was with both the Beatles and Wings, but unfortunately, I missed his last post 9/11 concert.

Isn't it kind of sad to welcome in the new year with someone you gotta hire? Perhaps, if you place what I think is unnecessary significance on New Year's, Christmas, Valentine's, birthdays, etc. To some people (myself included), it's just another day, and it doesn't really matter what you do on that "special day."
