Why do I think he'll be a bore?

To date no one on this forum has ever reported having a "great time" with a Bel Ami guy. Conventional wisdom seems to be that you don't get a lot of heat or BFE from any of them.

Long before they became such a large cottage industry in Central Europe, (about the time George Duroy started marketing them), there were a few of them who one could hire in and around where they lived (Prague especially, but also Bratislava [as my preference seemed to always fall on the Slovakian gentlemen], and even Vienna and into Germany as movement became easier. Truth be told, none was an outstanding memory, although quite a few could be very entertaining for a few hours or evening and at a reasonable rate. I discovered that they often worked better when you hired two of them for a 3-way as they would get off more on each, and that guaranteed them being "up" for the job.

 

But unfortunately as their market name and fame spread, and as they had to keep replenishing the stable of actors to appease the masses, more and more of those hired were of the ubiquitous Middle European "bisexual" mold, meaning, "I prefer the ladies, but if you are a really handsome, hung and muscular guy, we can have a reasonably good time for the right price." Just another way of saying, sadly, gay-for-pay.

 

Without a doubt, many of the models who work for Bel Ami are strikingly handsome and have amazing, muscular, (smooth as silk) bodies and are exceptionally hung (and generally uncut). Some are also educated and urbane (listen closely to Gino Mosca when he speaks flawless and almost completely accent-less English!). Many have a shelf life of 4 or 5 years where they will do a lot of films and photo shoots and hopefully amass sufficient funds for a nice car, and a downpayment on a decent apartment, and then they move one. Some try once or twice to make the trip around European capitals and even to the US where their name and fame would get them top price in the category of hiring, and where too many "fans" are so blinded by their "celebrity" that they are willing to fork out $300 and upwards just to be able to sit near one of these stars. Nice job, if you can get it!

 

Sadly for the more serious and wealthy individual who lucks out hiring them, as many know, most of them have also done a few BB scenes so you have to be careful.

 

All that said, you may luck out finding that rare one who a) is sexually more giving; b) is not carrying any social disease that could mess things up; and c) speaks sufficient English to make it worthwhile to pay for their time.

My own appreciation for escorts had much to do with the older "Bel Ami" guys of the very early and middle- 90's who had that something that really attracted me (similar to the earlier models in Kristen Bjorn works. There used to be a dingy gay bar in Frankfort called "Bel Ami" and it was usually filled in early evening with 30 or so Middle or Central European "workers" - guys in Germany often w/o proper papers, working in the construction industry, and who would repair to these bars in the evening for some quick extra cash.

Dutchal - the ad I referenced above is now a totally different guy. As in the past, it seems that someone (a well-connected "john") puts out an ad for these guys from central Europe (Czech, Slovak, Hungarian) and then sponsors them to come to the US -- and using the same mobile phone number (hey, cheaper that way!), rotates different characters through the mill. They all have a similar background (hardly ever will one find a guy who advertises as "gay"), and the locale (HK in NYC) seems to be where the "john" keeps a small pied a terre for them.
