A client gave me an early Christmas present this week (he will be out of town on a cruise with "the missus"); since I have been fixing up my current apartment ("forever" in my client's word) since I moved in earlier this year, it has looked in either a state of flux or different every time my client has been by. Apparently, there is a cute carpenter on The Learning Channel, on a television program I have never seen, called Trading Spaces, named Ty Pennington, who has a new book, TY'S TRICKS (the gift in question), which my client thought I would appreciate.

In typical post modern "IT" boy fashion, Ty has a web site with items for sale ranging from the necklaces he wears on the TV show to designs for some of his furniture (think very simple IKEA), my client is a big fan. You can view more pictures of him there:

The Trading Spaces web site even provides a link as to when he will be on the show, for those of you who need some handy advice and hints around the house: http://tlc.discovery.com/fansites/tradingspaces/bio/bio_08.html

He had a book signing at JR's, arguably Dallas' largest gay bar, where he said this:

"I am 100 percent hetero, and I do apologize. I wish I could break on through to the other side, but maybe...maybe I just haven't met the right guy yet."

One of the entertainment shows recently ran interviews with the hunky carpenters from various shows. Each felt compelled to take off their shirts for no particular reason.

Work it if you got it, girls. :p

Check out his book; there's a really yummy photo of him standing in his shower, wet, without his shirt but with his jeans pulled downrather far...although not far enough...which is what most handy man/carpenters/straight men do in their free time. Nonetheless, all you want to do is dry him off with your tongue. Not worth buying the book, but worth opening the cover while at Barnes & Noble!
