Happy Thanksgiving to all...

And if we can't always be thankful for the "attitude" of our cute objects of desire, at least we can be thankful that they are in fact "beautiful."

And by the way, check out the main site as well. The art of Joe Phillips, though quite simple, is quite erotic, IMHO.

>Mmm...love erotic art - sometimes sexier than real porn to me

>(depends on my mood).

Couldn't agree more. The wonderful thing to me is that these simple little cartoon drawings depict so much emotion, they are irresistible!

What do you want for Xmas??

How about a world happy and safe for all regardless of sexual preference?

Of course there is a point here! Are you blind? How sad, that even in animation, that the only image regarded as worthy of portraying as gay and thus worthy as being attractive, is yet another representation of gay men, as the stereotypical, muscle bound smooth, big dicked, handsome hunk. A stereotype depiction of gays as shallow sex obsessed people, who are only interested in physical beauty!

;(

Ummm... and are you guys who are offended saying that in hetero erotic art, the artists DON'T portray the young and the beautiful?

It is erotic art!

>that's well & good marc. leave it as

>erotic art then. don't try making it into some wonderful

>pronouncement of gay rights.

I am sorry if that is what you thought I did. I thought I was sharing my self declared enjoyment of erotic art for this board. That is what the Joe Phillip site is for, and that is what the drawings are.

My apologies if my poetic license to try and link some images together with some prose was misconstrued as something that is somehow politically offensive. I am far too shallow for any deep thought like that.

Now I will go back to watching my pornography.

RE: For all those who appreciate the young gay

Hey, man, I'm not offended in anyway! Erotic art is just that, art and should be judged/evaluated by what is portrayed and meant to be portrayed by the artist. IMO, no art is offensive, by any means! But in turn, art as an individual expression is and should be open to critique by others without any aspersions upon those critiquing it.

As such, this art depicts all gay men as young, buff and hung and should not be taken for a realistic portrayal of gay men. This is in no way a criticism of the artist, but a criticism of the artistic community that only this view is offered up to the world as an accurate portrayal of gay life.

RE: For all those who appreciate the young gay

Just thought I'd add in my own two cents. I mentioned before I really enjoy erotic gay art like this, and I do. I suppose in some ways it is shallow - I *do* like young, thin, hung guys like depicted in the imagery, and there's no getting around that. That said, I also know it's not a realistic portrayal - I CERTAINLY am not nearly as beautiful as the guys depicted in these pictures, and to be quite frank, I don't think a guy exists who is perfect physically in all respects like animation can portray. I also know realism can be just as attractive for different reasons (I was extremely physically attracted to my first boyfriend and still am, but he by no means has a perfect body...and he was apparently attracted to me as well, and in my own mind, I can't imagine why - lol).

I think one can appreciate the beauty this art depicts and still "keep it real." I also think art is entirely subjective. For example, the artist Ruben found overweight women extremely attractive, so that's what he painted - that's what he found beautiful.

Personally, I like different kinds of art, simply because things can be done with animation that could never REALLY be done. For example, I'm a fur (an anthropomorphic wolf so to speak - lol), and I enjoy anthropomorphic furry art sometimes. (This does NOT equate to bestiality in any way, so please understand there's a difference here, though I've known some people into that and...well...to each their own - not my thing though.) Here's a good example from a pretty famous artist of furry art - for the most part, tamer stuff, but I quite enjoy it:

Anyhow, I guess the point I'm trying to make is that I think art's strongpoint is it IS largely based on fantasy, and like anything else (including escorting), if it's kept in perspective, I don't think anything's wrong with that.

Just my opinion, and no offense to anybody is meant of course.
