Does anyone know if there are fun things to do in NYC for Halloween? I'm interested in both gay celebrations and non-gay things to do.

Thanks.

Well there is the Halloween parade in Greenwich village which is always a hoot. Many of the clubs cater to the after parade crowd and have parties well into the night. And asking if there is anything fun to do in NYC is like asking how many flavors of ice cream do you like. Personal favorite is Mocha Chip.

Next to the Pride parade at the end of June, the Halloween parade in Greenwich Village is the main gay (and straight people love it, too) public event. Not to be missed -- at least once. And you can anticipate Fleet Week next June!

Unfortunately I think that ship has definitely sailed (away) for me. Unless they are escorting on their free time off, I'm doubting very many are looking for a chubby older gay male.

You don't know that Gman. Never assume anything. Besides, what's wrong with just going and enjoying the view.

Initially the view is nice. But then do you know the story of Tantalus? For his sins after he died, he was placed in a lake. But whenever he tried to satisfy his thirst and bent down to drink, the lake drained away to nothing. That's what it's like being surrounded by hot guys and not being able to get one.

Well I had not heard of Tantalus, but we have spoken about his before, and I don't think comparing your situation to some mythical character is healthy. It might be time to change the narrative. As a friend said to me once, "If you don't like the story, turn the page".....As always, I wish you the best.

Just walking around the neighbourhoods in Lower Manhattan is great as many go all out with their Halloween yard decorations. Walking around Central Park on a bright crisp Autumn day is also very special.
