Whether Hayden is an intellect or not isn't the real issue~

 

It's the simple act of perception. If he chooses to completely obliterate the english language while going for a certain 'look,' than that would be his 'character choice' i suppose.

 

I will say that it probably would have effected his business in the longrun, as most guys would think twice before shelling out big bucks to spend time with someone percieved as an idiot. A cute picture is only half of the equation, as holding one's own intellectually when trading emails is very important IMO.

 

On the flipside, the degredation of the english language is somewhat of a common problem with the advent of IM'ing and chat on an internet generation. English profs usually unite in their agreement on the subverse effects of 'netspeak' and how it somehow manages to find a way into formal papers & everyday writing. Is this a problem? Perhaps... as we could be dealing with a whole generation of people who can't put a sentence together and make it flow. Focusing back on escorts, i personally find the trend of 'netbonics' to be tired and just plain overused.

Hayden's grammatical mistakes and spelling errors may actually have helped his business. A lot of people like guys who are not that bright. Guys who act like they are not that bright are not intimidating and are often adorable. We certainly see this on TV where some of the most popular characters-- Joey on Friends, Tony Danza, Joey Lawrence etc.-- were lovable dunces with hearts of gold. Ryan in New York may be a good example of this in escorting. He certainly does not come across as deep thinker but he seems to be doing very well. It may not be healthy to be attracted to stupidity but a lot of people are. And, if we're just talking about escorting, the're probably no harm in it.

Frankly, I find this thread very disturbing. It reveals how badly the English language has been degraded. This is affecting me terribly, as I find it very subversive of the Americans to be doing such terrible violence to their great heritage, the English language.
