Amsterdam Canal Pride

Someone asked me to post in the Forum a few pictures from Amsterdam's Canal Parade that took place on August 2nd. However because of a storm on that same afternoon we couldn't go out and enjoy the Parade and see the floats.

After the show was over we ended up in Reguliersdwarsstraat where we checked every possible gay bar and club.

 

All the bars and clubs were packed and since the weather was nice, people were having a fun and drinks on the street.

 

Everybody had a great time. It was still very busy when we left at 6:00 AM

 

PS: I hear the Parade was colorful and festive before the storm started judging by these

Thanks for this post, Steven... this is another event on my "bucket" list.... I have only been to Amsterdam once, and that was several years ago, but I certainly had a great time with the guys who loved getting to know an American guy !! "Know" here has a very special meaning that you all will appreciate.

There used to be some great gay clubs with rent boys in Amsterdam. Are they still in business?

Amsterdam is such a great city. Their Pride Parade on my list of things I'd like to see. Thanks for the pics, Steven.

when I was there in the late-90s there were two or three houses of boys and they were pretty awesome. But I think with the internet all of those kinds of places are going by the wayside. Even the gogo bars in Thailand are suffering a bit these days.

The man in the suspenders is spectacular. He alone would make the trip worthwhile, while him with me might make my whole year.
