What is it about sailor hats?

The other day I was in a leather shop trying on a harness and two twinkie 20 year olds were running around trying on rubber harnesses with orange and yellow piping, giggling, preening and THEN - they found white sailor hats and went ape-shit!

 

There was also a rather large and mean-looking Dom trying on a spectacular harness, too intricate to put on for me and, as a sub, too complicated to just strip off for the fun and games. We looked at each other, rolled our eyes, and I almost willed him to go up to one of the boys and simply stare him down with the most menacing look he could come up with. I would have been on my knees in a second if he said, "Down boi!" These kids would have cried.

 

But, again, what is it with white sailor hats? besides being a cliche...

I was not there to see him wear it, but didn't the illustrious Romann wear a white leather sailor outfit to the Palm Springs gathering a few years ago??? Now I know that R looks hot as hell in his black leather jock... or anything else, or even nothing for that matter... but the sailor outfit from what I recall was one of the highlights... If not the highlight that year!

I was not at that Palm Springs get-together but during one appointment I had with Romann he modeled a number of his all-leather outfits for me. One of those was that sailor outfit with hat, all made completely of white leather except for the tie around the neck which I seem to recall was of black leather. My favorite was a CHPS (California highway patrolman) outfit, including the billed patrolman hat all made out of khaki-colored leather with black or blue leather trim! I believe he also wore that outfit to a gathering.

Nothing like a bunch of HOT, Young, sailors in their tight white pants, form fitting shirts and a crisp jacket and sailor cap..... look at what Fleet Week in NYC produces, or stroll around the Navy Yards in San Diego... those twinks in the store may not have a handle of everything, but I suspect they know how to attract those who are interested in them... perhaps like a bee to honey !!
