The travel schedule isn't a red flag. The fees might be, but he advertises frequently on Masseurfinder. So the fees may be for massage. I tried asking about him several months ago in the Spa section as I saw his ad on Masseurfinder. I don't think I really got any response back. I'll look if I can find the thread. One reason I ended up not meeting him was because his plans changed, and he never came to my city.

I got responses both times, but he said he was just testing the waters for possible travel plans. To the best of my knowledge, he has not made it here yet, and I've never seen him.

There's really no way to know whether he is a good escort/bad escort/scam escort without either reviews, us finding his pictures were/weren't stolen (I'm assuming you know how to use Google Image Search-their have been numerous posts on how to do it), or if in contacting him by either email, text, or phone he isn't friendly/polite. Without definite information or red flags, the only other thing you could do would be to talk with him beforehand to see if you get any kind of gut feeling to form an opinion.

 

But if I were you, I'd steer clear of him. Not because I know anything specificly bad about him. My reasoning on this is because you haven't hired before (or if you have not very many times) and you've already said you are nervous about the situation. Nervousness is natural anytime you are meeting someone unknown. But, especially if you are thinking that if things go well, you might want to hire on some type of regular basis, why pick an unknown guy like this?
