Changing gyms was one of the best things that happened to me this spring.

My new membership allows me to visit different locations of the same chain (there are 7 in my city).

It has been an interesting experience observing and watching new and different people.

One location has one of the best looking athletes in town and always good eye candy, another location I visited yesterday had two of these 'specimen' (see video material below)

... screaming, grunting and slamming the weights on the floor. WTF? <grin>

W e l l . . . . ,

Oboe players, and trumpeters playing high notes have an extreme amount or pressure in their lungs and although their

glotti may be open, the effects are largely the same.

My uncle is a (bassoon playing) physician, and assured my mother that oboe playing would not aggravate emphasema

but might lead to an occupational hazard of hernias or hemorrhoids.

He also noted that the Valsalva maneuever can dramatically slow down one's heart rate.

The first chair oboe player in the San Francisco collapsed on stage of a brain hemorrhage (which proved fatal a few days later)

not so long ago..

I never hear any of the grunting or conversations, I always use headphones and play music. Studies have shown, that playing music can increase concentration and intensity in your workout. I find all the noises at the gym to be distracting, except the steam room, which can be very interesting watching the straight guys gay flirt. (fun video Marylander) spot on.
