I have recently undertaken the project of cleaning out the closets and found three cartons of old gay magazines. From Honcho and In Touch from the 70s, a lot of Colt from the 80s, and Advocate Men, etc from the 90s and 00s.

I have scanned some of the pics that are particularly of interest, but I wonder if magazines in general have any interest. I looked on eBay, and while there are a lot listed, other than the Colt published items, very few of them sell.

When I got rid of two hundred gay-themed books five years ago, I dropped them off at the Center on 13th Street for their library, but I don't think they want porn.

I don't think leaving them on the shelf in the building's laundry room is the proper solution either.

Anyone else have a suggestion?

Re-cycle them. If you are not comfortable putting them in your re-cycle bin, then find a centre or other place which accepts paper.

With porn so available through PCs and laptops most people find paper porn as out of date as rotary dial phones.

There might be a few collectors but as you pointed out, they are few.

Find a recycling bin or station and recycle! That way they can be reused in another manner. I have dvds and vids [porn] which, if I cannot sell, they will find themselves deposited in a recycling bin for paper, glass, and metal! Hope this helps!
