Hey there. I thought I would share a wonderful program I found not to long ago while searching for hotels for one of my trips. It's called travelaxe. You can search hotels, airfare and car rentals. Here is an example. I often travel down to Vegas well the program searches not one not two not three but TWELVE sites at once!!!! To get the program go to http://www.travelaxe.com/ Also I go to LA often to see friends and family and to get away from the rain up here in Seattle and it searches eight sites at once. This program is so much better then Travelocity or Expedia and the others for hotels. Airfare is kind of iffy on the program but when searching for hotels this is the #1 program in my book. I hope that this comes of some great use for you guys who travel for work and fun.

Hugs,

Greg

Lools like a GREAT program, Greg, and would save a lot of time.

Typically when I prepare for travel I have 2 or 3 windows open in my browser trying to do the same thing but obviously taking longer, much more space and more confusion.

Unfortunately, this appears to be WINDOWS (PC) only :( so us Mac users are SOL unless it really catches on big. If any other mac owners try it and find a way to use, I'd appreciate knowing. I even tried opening in Word and Excel but had to give up on it.

I use TRAVELAXE.COM quite a bit.Theere are two problems with it.

First,if you are using a dialup ISP the load takes a loooooooong time.My puter is old and slow-so I usually wil put in my search info and then go to some other chore or take a shower. If I am lucky the search will then be complete. Those of you with DSL will have MUCH quicker response time.

Second,You ABSOLUTLY MUST DO A FOLLOWUP ON YOUR RESERVATIONS by calling the hotel directly to assure the ressie has been made, and note down the person at the hotel you are speaking to.And be sure to PRINT OUT THE CONFIRMATION SCREEN.I,and some other folks I know have had problems with some of the brokers TRAVELAXE.COM acts as an engine for.

If you take both of these precautions you should be fine.Just being able to get a refund credit to your credit card is small comfort when you are faceing down a front desk clerk saying they have no record of your reservation and they are sold out!

When ever traveling one should ALWAYS print up the conformation page whether it be for the airline or hotel. Doing this can save you a huge headach. And calling the reservation people at the hotel and the site you booked your travel plans is a good thing too. These should be atomatic no matter what site you maybe booking your travels on.

Greg
