Daddy's Birthday Party in November

I've got my reservations made and look forward to lunch at The Palms, not to mention the other fun stuff.

 

For anyone on the fence, you may be swayed by the reasonable room rates to be had for mid-week November. A sampling from the MGM site:

Rob and I stayed there in February. It was a nice place but.....(and this is totally not Blue Moons fault), there were also 4 different straight couples staying there. Rob was getting friendly with someone in the locker room when he looked up and seen an elderly Asian couple coming out of their room which was right across from the locker room). We asked the front desk about it and he said he explained to them what Blue Moon was but they still wanted to stay there.

"For any guest that has an upcoming reservation, your deposit will be refunded. Please be patient as I work through this closing process."

 

That's a shame; as Wayne mentioned, we stayed there earlier this year, and really enjoyed it. I was looking forward to staying there again.

Too bad my Big Brother, Ace won't be able to attend due to other obligations, but will fill him in on all the fun. Wink. This was a whole lot of fun and I hope it will start up as its own autumn tradition. I'd definitely encourage others to come along should Daddy want to do it again next year.

 

There are definite advantages to going to Vegas mid-week in November. The rates are lower, the crowds are fewer, and yet the weather is still great. Next time I'll want to stay longer to catch some shows.

 

Having lunch at the Palms was great. The buffet is really decent, but best part was just being able to hang out for a duration without being rushed along. Those of you who know Daddy know he has a lot to say about all kinds of things, and we spent a full three hours just hanging out, going back to the buffet from time to time, and just enjoying taking it all in. I hardly ever get to spend so much time just lingering, it felt almost decadent.

 

Add to that being joined by the very handsome and charming JD Daniels, who I had not met before but I instantly became a fan. The guy is sexy and personable, so I can see how he has amassed the large number of great reviews he has under his belt. I hope he makes subsequent appearances at other Forum events, as I expect he'll be a hit with many.

 

And Charlie's, what fun! Sexy local guys in their underwear, who can argue with that? I think the underwear nights bars have started doing is great, as it draws a crowd and guys are actually there meeting each other. Staring at crotches and butts instead of their phones. As the night wore on, more and more guys got brave and stripped down, in all shapes and sizes with something for everybody. And yeah the go-go dancers, hot damn....

 

Though the Blue Moon never panned out, perhaps that was just as well as my room at Palms Place was fantastic. I guess technically it is a "studio condo" complete with really cool all-stainless kitchen, a fantastic bathroom with giant shower and spa tub, sectional sofa, view of the mountains, etc etc. No casino so it was more low-key, which fit my preferences, but with a moving sidewalk connection to the casino and restaurants at the Palms via a so-called "sky tube" (really just a 2nd floor corridor, but it did the job).

 

I would have liked to have stayed into the weekend for the rest of the events Daddy had lined up, but couldn't make it this time. But I'm sold on this and will make sure to allocate the full weekend next time.

 

So thanks Daddy for putting this together, and the guys who came along for the ride. Let's do it again for the big six-oooooh....

Hey everyone, just wanted to add my 2 cents! Daddy Happy Birthday, we will have to get together again for a nice dinner and celebrate again! I want to thank Nate, ACE and JD Daniels for a fantastic time. I got to spend Wed afternoon with JD Daniels after work, we have a AWESOME time and really got to know each other (review to follow). That evening we met up with Daddy and Nate and a couple more friend at Charlies, although I didn't strip down to my underwear (I wasn't wearing any) I did enjoy the eye candy, and Nate WOW what a body that man has!
