Has anyone been watching this? Fascinating two part program with Rupert Everett examining the lives, issues, you name it of paid sex workers. I wonder if we'd see anything like this on American TV?

I also watched it, and although I'm not sure that I learned anything new, I was amazed at how open, frank and sex-positive it was. Rupert Everett talked openly about the hundreds of boys he's hired. It was pretty amazing to me that this aired on mainstream british TV. I think in the U.S., it would be pretty racy for even late night HBO or Showtime.

That was my point exactly. Showtime just gives us GIGOLOS which is about as stupid as television gets.
