So you keep getting handed a sheet of paper with all these teams named and people tell you to pick the winners, minus any spread, and give them 4.00. You are gay dude you don't know anything about football ... so here is Huey's picks for week 4 to make your life easier ... now you too can be macho :7 . The winners are in bold :)

WEEK 4

Sunday, Sep. 28

Arizona at St. Louis

Cincinnati at Cleveland

Jacksonville at Houston

New England at Washington

Philadelphia at Buffalo

San Francisco at Minnesota

Tennessee at Pittsburgh

Kansas City at Baltimore

San Diego at Oakland

Atlanta at Carolina

Dallas at N.Y. Jets

Detroit at Denver

Indianapolis at New Orleans

Monday, Sep. 29

Green Bay at Chicago

Mostly what I would have picked except Baltimore over Kansas City.. though I would love the Chiefs to lose I think they and Denver are going into next week both at 4-0 and playing for who is the class of the AFC. KC-Baltimore should be a good game but KC has scored touchdowns on offense, special teams and defense in their last two games, and they have looked scary. Still I'm rooting for B-more. :)

I think Arizona and San Diego both will win from the list above that would be my changes. St. Louis is a mess and Faulk is injured. Oakland is even worse than San Diego in my book this year.

I wish we had an office pool but no one has begun any this season.

Posted

We should start one on here :-) no idea what the prize could be though. I hope to never work in an office and I don't know of any operating room football polls..

Hey Huey, or should I call you Johnny Fever now? :) Or is it Venus Flytrap?

I do believe that there are many sports loving gay guys on this board just like there are in real life, so please don't say all gays are sports illiterate. You know, you will probably win the pool as it seems those who don't follow football always win the pool. Good luck! BTW: anyone who picks the Redksins goes right to the top of the list!.

>Sunday, Sep. 28

>Arizona at St. Louis

agree

>Cincinnati at Cleveland

agree

>[bJacksonville[/b] at Houston

disagree I pick Houston

>New England at Washington

agree. Patrick Ramsey is awesome!

>Philadelphia at Buffalo

Disagree, I go with Philly, as they can't afford to start 0-3

>San Francisco at Minnesota

Disagree. Duante Culpepper is hurt and SF is always tough. I pick SF.

>Tennessee at Pittsburgh

Disagree once again. I pick Pittsburgh.

>Kansas City at Baltimore

I pick KC. Baltimore has a very inexperienced quarterback.

>San Diego at Oakland

I pick Oakland. I feel sorry for the Chargers fans being stuck with Marty Shottenheimer as coach. We ran him out of DC after 1 year, if we had only done the same with Norv Turner.

>Atlanta at Carolina

Once again I disagree. I'll go with Atlanta on this one, even though they are still without Michael Vick (I LOVE those Virginia guys!! (even if they played at VT rather than UVA).

Dallas at N.Y. Jets

Disagree again. I would love to see the Jets beat the Cowboys as I root for two teams, the Redskins and whoever is playing the Cowboys. I think that the Cowboys will kick the Jets butts in NYC just like they kicked the Giants butts.

>Detroit at Denver

Agree, should be a total wipeout by Denver.

>Indianapolis at New Orleans

Agree, Always hard to beat NO in the Superdome, especially with my man Aaron Brooks from UVA!!!

>Monday, Sep. 29

>Green Bay at Chicago

Hard choice indeed. GB owns Chicago the last few years, but GB is off kilter this year, but I will pick them over a weak Chicago team.

Hope you win your pool dude, but even if you don't it is so much fun to play! :)

VAHAWK it will be cool to see how we did :).

One thing about Carolina that most people forget; last year they were the number two defense in the league only behind Tampa Bay. I think the defense will win this week for them.

Green Bay is erratic yet they will come through on Monday night, Chicago is in KAOS :).

I like the Chargers too yet as you agree Oakland will win.

Philly is going down this year, I won't be surprise to see them 0-5 before they win a game.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Huey,

I HATE THE EAGLES(IGGLES as we say in DC)!! but not as much as I hate the Cowboys, and I truly hope they go 0 and 16!

BTW: What is your opinion about the NFL overtime procedure? I feel that it is a travesty. If the Redskins had won the overtime coin toss against the Giants, I bet they would be 3-0 right now. I think overtime should be a 10 minute period played until the clock is run down, similar to the NHL overtime period.

You have a GREAT Sunday too, man!, and give Venus Flytrap a big smooch for me! :)

If you were a tight wad man, you wouldn't give a Quarterback right? :) so just what is Jim talking about?

I bet you are like me and always Guard your Safety and Tackle any one in a Defense of your End. If a Punt of the balls doesn't work, then Kick him thru the goal posts, and above all never let him Corner your Back against the wall! Never forget that you are a Special part of the Team! No refunds, no Returns. :)

Just a very friendly BOO ON YOU! I love the Chiefs, always have and always will! My very favorite team in the AFC! and even though you are much too young to identify, my very favorite team in the old AFL. I loved the classic battles between KC with Ken Dawson as quarterback and Oakland (my least favorite team in football!) with Darryl Lamonica as quarterback.

My all time dream Super Bowl that I have been wishing for forever is the Chiefs vs Redskins!

I also really, really, really dislike the Denver Broncos, and loved the Redskins kicking their butts in the SuperBowl after they strutted around saying how they were going to kick the Redskins butts, and also loved it when the Giants beat them the year before in the SuperBowl. I hate the Cowboys but loved it when they beat the Orange Crush in the SuperBowl, so you better avoid us NFC East teams! :o

I will admit, however, that I was glad to see John Elway win a superbowl ring as, imo, he is one of the alltime great quarterbacks in the history of the NFL, and was always someone who could snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. I have loved him from the moment when he got drafted out of college by Baltimore and told the Colts to basically "kiss his ass before he would play there"!

You can call me whatever you want, you can hate the Broncos, you can love the chiefs and god help you since you had to endure one of the NFL's all time losers in Marty S for so long.. You can love it when the Broncos lose, you can do whatever you want... as long as you hate the raiders you're ok in my book :-*

Elway was drafted when I was ten.. I can barely remember Craig Morton and Steve Watson playing catch for Morton's last two years before he came along.. and basically grew up watching him toil with no supporting cast, (try to win anything with Sammy Winder as a running back as opposed to Terrel Davis) and a coach that wouldn't do ANYTHING until the last two minutes of any game or when the Broncos were behind by 3 touchdowns, whatever came first. In my opinion trading for him has to be one of the all time greatest trades made in sports... it was Elway for uhm.. nobody basically.. just like the Roy trade.. How lucky you are if you live in Denver and like these two sports.

baseball and basketball here though ugh

VAHAWK I agree about this long standing OT policy. Like hockey or basketball it should be a set time and whoever is ahead at the end of that time is the winner or if still tied then it should go down as a tie :).

With field goal kickers able to kick one from 50+ yards the OT winner really comes down to the coin flip not the best team over all:(.

Well Huey, you are right about the 49'r / Minnesota game.

They just broke for half-time, looks like SF sent a Junior Varsity squad from a local high school...

Congrats to you too Huey! Did you win your pool? I bet not, as the winners most times, are those who know zilch about football. I miss playing the football pools. :(

Let's at least play for fun again this weekend. :)
