Has anyone noticed that when a thread is created that negatively discusses an escort ad, the ad suddenly disappears?

 

I am convinced that some of the creators of bogus escort ads read this forum. The disappearing escort ad act happens all to often to be a coincidence.

You may very well be right. Other possibilities, Rentboy deletes them after looking here, maybe someone from here contacts them and then they delete it.

 

What I don't understand is that I thought Rentboy ads were reasonably expensive. Can they be making enough to constantly put ads up and take them down? I'm sure in many cases it's the same person or group putting up many of the ads.

People, individuals, gangs or whatever keep bogus ads going time after time. Clearly they make money. This forum helps to expose many of the bogus ads but it cannot find them all. Moreover, this is just one site and not everyone has access to an escort forum or does not know they exist.

 

Think of all the "clients" who answer ads that are bogus but the client does not know it until the client gets ripped off or walks away (hopefully in one piece).

 

We really don't know about all bogus ads.

 

On a different escort forum, I found the following post. I have no reason to not believe the person who made the post. Reading through the post, the realization comes to us that this could be any one of us who answers escort ads. Here is the post:

How could this be happening!!!

 

I ended up giving him $100 and left.

 

Looking back, I really don't see signs of scams and this really turned me off on hiring an escort.

 

How would you guys normally approach an escort and make sure it's a real deal.

 

I am still in shock that this is happening to me!

 

 

 

P.S. It literally just happened an hour ago and now I looked at the rentboy. the ad is gone.
