This is a play about three families in a suburb somewhere that get together and make a porn film. This is a play where everyone talks about sex. There's lots of simulated sex onstage. There's straight sex and gay sex. Almost every actor young and old gets naked at some point. And I was never so bored. I was actually glad when it was over. I thought the play was badly written and badly acted. I felt sorry for everyone including the audience. There is one cute young guy in the play but even he wasn't worth the $29 I spent for my ticket. If you want to watch sex stay home and turn on your computer. Skip this one!

I also saw this play and agree with foxy's report... It's a likeable cast and ends for them on a happy note. It's a bizarre story of 3 neighboring families and how they all come together to make a porn movie about "Frotage". There are some uncomfortable scenes, example, the conversation between the father and his porn star daughter who's nude and intimate with him, the parent's discussion about anal sex with their daughter, and the porn shoot with son filming his dad nude and having sex. Yes, this is a play about sex and, if you attend knowing that, you might find it enjoyable.

The nude scenes are probably the reason why most people are curious about seeing "Intimacy" and there are many, including, the son, Matthew, who's cute, fully naked, masturbates, and shoots 2 rather fluid cum shots, then there's the neighbor/contractor who pulls down his pants to watch porn and starts playing with himself, and, he later hits on Matthew (his daughter's boyfriend) and shows him what's under his pink thong... There's a lot more, about equal time with male and female nudity.

If you should see this play, just be prepared for something different than the norm on Broadway, in this case Off-Broadway. Btw, I do not not agree with Theatermania's caption on the cast picture. It's not any of those...
